Police probe suspicous death in Glasgow
Officers found the remains in a flat in Kenmure Street yesterday and are trying to work out when they died.
A body has been discovered in a flat in Glasgow.
Police Scotland said they are treating the death as suspicious and are working to establish the person's identity, as well as when they died.
Officers found the body after going to the property in Kenmure Street, Pollokshields, just before 10am on Thursday.
No information about the person's gender or age has been released. A post-mortem examination is due to be held in due course.
Detectives from the force's major investigation team are investigating the death and police are currently conducting door-to-door inquiries and gathering CCTV footage.
Appealing for information, Detective Mark Henderson said: Extensive inquiries are ongoing and specialist forensic teams have been conducting inquiries at the scene.
We are in the process of determining when the death occurred and efforts are under way to establish the person's identity.
I am seeking the assistance of the local community to provide us with any information, I am asking them to think back over the last two to three weeks, did you see anything unusual, did you hear anything unusual?
