Police probe suspicious death in Airdrie

A man in his 40's was found in a flat in Clark Street on Thursday

Police are treating the discovery of man’s body in Airdrie as suspicious.

Officers were called to a flat in Clark Street around 10.25am on Thursday where they found the body of a 40-year-old man.

His name has not been released yet.

A police spokeswoman said: "A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of his death which at this time police are treating as suspicious.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Detectives say they would like to speak to anyone who was in the Clark Street area from Wednesday afternoon until 10.30am on Thursday morning.
