Man Injured in Bus Crash Dies
An elderly man who was hit by a bus last month has died in hospital.
Brian Rose, from Newcastle, and his wife were struck by the double-decker in Glasgow city centre on May 29.
Both pedestrians were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after they were released from under the vehicle following the collision at the corner of Queen Street and Argyle Street.
Mr Rose, 76, was being treated for his injuries at the hospital but died yesterday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "His wife, aged 72 years, has been transferred to a hospital closer to her family and is recovering from her injuries.
A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.''
The crash, in a busy shopping area, prompted a major response from the emergency services, with a number of fire engines and a special operations team from the ambulance service involved.
