Man held after knife incident in Clydebank

Armed police were called out but not needed.

A man has been detained after police were allegedly confronted by a man with a knife.

Officers were called to Montrose Street in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire at around 8.30pm on Wednesday following a report of a disturbance at a property there.

When they arrived they were confronted by a man who allegedly had a knife.

Armed officers were sent to the scene to help but the man had been detained by the time they arrived.

There were no reports of any injuries.
