Detectives investigating shots being fired in a residential street in Glasgow's east end are making an appeal a week on.

Police returned to the scene on Riddrie Knowes last night in a bid to job people's memories after reports of loud bangs last Wednesday night at around 2205.

Officers say a black Nissan Qashqai registration number SH11 VMO was involved and seen driving off towards Smithycroft Road at Cumbernauld Road and a silver coloured Volkswagen Golf, 5 door hatchback was seen reversing away from Riddrie Knowes.

There were no reports of any injuries made to emergency services.

Detective Inspector David Stewart is heading up the investigation.
