LISTEN: Geoff Ellis Gives His Verdict on TITP at Strathallan

Acts including The View, Ella Eyre and James Bay have wowed thousands of fans on the final day of T in the Park.

Revellers braved the mud at Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire for more music from some of the country's best known artists.

Paloma Faith and the Stereophonics are still to come on the main stage, with headliner Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds set to bring the three-day event to a close tonight.

A crowd of about 85,000 was expected on Saturday and Sunday, and Police Scotland advised day trippers to plan ahead and follow event signs to avoid travel delays.

Festival organisers have apologised to those affected by traffic delays coming in and out of the drop-off points last night.

They said they would focus today on getting everyone to and from the site safely, adding that they are "working hard to fix what went wrong last night and will issue more information as soon as possible''.

Last night fans enjoyed performances from headline act Avicii, and other big names including Jessie J, The Script and Twin Atlantic.

The line-up today also features The Prodigy, Idlewild and Clean Bandit.

Speaking just before taking to the main stage, James Bay said: "I'm burning, I'm ready to get out there, I'm ready to just play.

"We had a great time last year and it's been a mad year in between and here we are at T in the Park again, I can't wait.''

He added: "Scottish crowds are some of the best. And I'm not just saying it, I know everyone thinks oh he's just saying it, but I've played around the world and had a great time in front of a lot of crowds, but some stand out and Scotland is one of them.''

Meanwhile, Police Scotland have reported 40 arrests over the event and there have been 500 visits to the hospital tent - 185 less than the same time last year.

Superintendent Colin Brown: "The majority of fans have behaved well and have enjoyed themselves. We've dealt with a small number of people who have chosen to misbehave and arrested 40 people.

"As the festival draws to a close, we hope fans continue to have a good time safely and responsibly. We want to remind people that Scotland has a new drink drive limit.

"If you are driving tonight or tomorrow, our advice is not to drink at all and to make sure you are well rested before setting off on your journey home.''
