Kilmarnock mum speaks of toddler's cot death

The mum of a 22-month old Kilmarnock tot who fell victim to cot death two weeks ago is warning other parents about the condition.

The mum of a 22-month old Kilmarnock tot who died of cot death exactly two weeks ago does not want her loss to be in vain.

Joanna McCarroll found little Callan in his bed - he had gone to sleep at 8:30pm on the Thursday night and did not wake up - she says she did not think at nearly 2 years old it could happen to her son.

She wants something positive to come out of her family's heartbreak and is fundraising for The Scottish Cot Death Trust - more than £2,000 has been collected so far.
