Elderly Man Critical After Being Struck by Argyle Street Bus

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 80 year old man was struck by a bus on Argyle Street.

The elderly man has been crossing the road at its junction with Jamaica Street just around 7:10pm on Saturday evening.

He was taken to hospital with a head injury and remains in a critical condition.

Sergeant Andrew Shearer from the Road Policing Department at Helen Street is appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with information that may help their investigation to come forward.
