Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a car was set on fire outside a block of flats in Hamilton in the early hours of Sunday 11 December 2016.
Around 1:30pm the owner of a white Vauxhall Adam was in her flat in Gilligans Way when she saw two men, who were unknown to her, standing beside her car.
The men then proceeded to set the car alight before running off along Russell Street where they got into a white Volkswagen Golf and drove off down Thorntree Avenue.
Both men were wearing dark clothing and tammy hats.
Emergency services were called and it was confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.
Detective Constable Colin Thapar from Cambuslang CID said: “Extensive enquiries are underway, with officers speaking to local residents and examining CCTV footage, to ensure we find the people responsible.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw two men matching the above description or a white Volkswagen Golf in the area in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Cambuslang CID via 101 or alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
