Concern for missing man in Abronhill
Police are trying to trace a man missing from his home in Abronhill.
Police are trying to trace a man missing from his home in Abronhill.
Thomas Lamb left his home in Almond Road yesterday around 11am and failed to return home last night.
Enquiries so far have revealed that Mr Lamb was dropped off in Teviot Walk, the town centre of Cumbernauld, before 1800 hrs last night.
It's believed he was seen outside the Carrickstone Bar talking to someone before making his way through the shopping centre. He then left the shopping centre at the old bus station. He is around 5 ft 8 inches in height, grey hair, with a slim build and walks quite slowly. It’s believed he is wearing black anorak, multi-coloured jumper with a shirt underneath and blue trousers.
Mr Lamb suffered a bereavement recently and has never gone missing before. His family are said to be extremely concerned and just want to know he is safe and well.
Extensive enquiries have been undertaken since he was reported missing last night, however all attempts to locate him have so far been unsuccessful.
Inspector Hugh Burns said: "Mr Lamb is very close to his family and it is out of character for him to go off and not return or contact his family. Given his age and the fact that he hasn’t contacted his family, we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. If anyone has seen or has any information or knowledge as to Mr Lamb’s whereabouts, please call us as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Cumbernauld Police Office on 101.
