Balloons released at Paige Doherty football match tribute
a charity game in memory of the tragic teenager was held at Glasgow Green
Around one hundred people gathered at Glasgow Green last night to watch a charity football match in memory of Paige Doherty.
The players from Glasgow City AFC paused for a minute's silence ahead of the game at the Football Centre.
At half-time pink balloons with a personal message attached were released into the night sky in memory of the 15 year old.
Many of the supporter's wore pink in tribute to the youngster from Clydebank.
It comes as a man charged with her murder has appeared in court in private for a second time.
31 year old John Leathem from Clydebank made no plea or declaration during the full committal hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
He was remanded in custody after the hearing, which comes less than a week after his initial appearance in the dock.
A spokesman for the Crown Office said Leathem's next court date is yet to be confirmed.
A search was launched when Paige was reported missing on Saturday, March 19, after she failed to arrive at her part-time hairdressing job.
Her body was found two days later in bushes at the side of Great Western Road, a busy route connecting Clydebank and Glasgow.
