Bally's Blog: One tap is all it takes!
Isn’t technology a marvelous thing? Just think of the amazing changes in our lives over the last ten or fifteen years.
In communication alone, where would most of us be without our mobile phones? Do you remember, when they first came out, they were bricks that weighed a ton? Now we can
be in touch with the world with a small slim device that slips easily into our pockets.
I know its often said, "Oh the young ones are never off their phones" or always on the internet but, hang on, don’t knock them for that; whilst this is reasonably new technology to some of us who wont see forty again, it is normal for the children and young adults of today. What started me off on this was a new piece of technology which is being launched by car company DS Automobiles; they have just unveiled the UK’s first integrated contactless payment car key, so when you leave the house and leave your wallet or purse behind, no worries - you can pay with your car key!
We were given the opportunity to try this out at a recent motoring press day, and I have to say the girls on the Tesco checkouts were as excited as we were at seeing the first packet of crisps (Cheese and onion, if you must know) and bottle of water to be purchased using a car key!
As I was saying, technology is an amazing thing!
