Woman dies in collision with police car in Liverpool
Merseyside Police have referred themselves to the watchdog over the death
A young woman has died after being hit by a police car in Liverpool on Christmas Eve.
In a statement Merseyside Police say it happened on Sheil Road at around 8:10pm on December 24.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services the woman, in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A referral's been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) it's now investigating the circumstances.
