Wet and windy weather as Storm Bronagh hits Liverpool

Its led to some delays and road closures throughout the city.

Merseyside has been feeling the affects of Storm Bronagh this Friday 21st September - with strong winds battering the region.

There have been a couple of delays at John Lennon Airport this morning due to adverse conditions across the country.

Robin Tudor from the Airport says the delays have been due to adverse weather in other parts of the country, but for commuters to keep in contact with their airlines if they are travelling today.

Parts of the Mersey Gateway Bridge is closed with street lighting damaged because of the weather .

A yellow weather warning is place, with winds of up to 50 miles per hour recorded in the region.

The weather has also caused glass to fall from The West Tower on Brook Street.

There is glass on the road which has been cordoned off by police.
