Watch the moment young Finn McEwen meets the man who saved his life
10 year old Finn from Litherland has met the man who donated bone marrow to help his battle against a rare disease
Two years after Radio City helped find Finn a match - the young boy from Liverpool's finally come face to face with the man who saved his life
10 year old Finn McEwen needed a bone marrow donor to help combat a rare disease
Radio City held a donor drive up the Tower to get people signed up to the Stem Cell register - and thousands of people did so.
A match was finally found last year in Russell, who's 38 and from Norwich. He signed up to the register when he was 18.
Radio City joined Finn and his family in Liverpool City Centre to meet him, after he travelled hundreds of miles to see the young boy who he helped.
Russell said: "When I opened the letter they said you're a match, and asked if I wanted to go through with it and I said yes."
"I thought I have something that someone needs to live, so I'll give it to them"
"I wanted to see what I did, I knew it was a young child, and I've had two friends die from leukemia."
"This is a success, I wanted to know but I had to wait two years and now I'm here and it's good"
