It is two weeks since Brian Blakeman went missing from Skelmersdale.

Lancashire Police have carried out extensive searches for Brian, 77, with the search taking in 14sq km of open land – including Beacon County Park, Dalton Lees, Holland Moor, Tower Hill, West Pimbo and Tawd Valley Park.

Over the last fortnight, police search teams have been supported by the police helicopter, the police drone team, the North West Underwater Search Unit, together with Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue, Bolton Mountain Rescue, and the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

Officers are still conducting enquiries to find Brian and we are reviewing extensive CCTV and ring doorbell footage which has been gathered.

Any reported sightings and information from the public is being followed-up.

Brian’s family have been supported throughout by specially-trained officers and continue to be supported. They’ve been kept informed about all aspects of the search.

Lancashire Police would again like to thank the people of Skelmersdale for their help during the search and the support they have given us.

When Brian went missing, he was wearing a blue fleece jacket with an Everton FC badge, navy blue jeans, and black and white Lacoste trainers.
