Police have confirmed two men have been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death in Wirral.

Nicholas Adam Curtis, 32, of Grayson Mews, John Street, Birkenhead and Stuart Allan Curtis, 31, also of Grayson Mews, have been remanded in custody to appear before Wirral magistrates court tomorrow, Thursday 4th October.

Ms Jackson was found dead on the morning of Sunday 30th September.

Detectives are tonight also appealing for information from licensed taxi drivers – either Hackney or private hire - who collected two males and female in the Hamilton Square area of Birkenhead between 1.40am and 1.50am on Sunday.

The males were in their late 20s to early 30s and the female in her early 20s. They have potentially travelled to an address in the Oxton are of Birkenhead and an address in the Tranmere area of Birkenhead.

Detective Chief Inspector Richie Jones said: "I would appeal to any taxi drivers who believe they may have collected these individuals in the early hours of Sunday morning to come forward as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.
