A three-year-old girl's been rushed to hospital with serious injuries, after she got out of a car into the path of a van.
It happened on Welton Road in Bromborough yesterday afternoon (Thursday 19 October). The girl's condition is described as 'critical but stable'.
A 37 year old woman from Leasowe is being questioned on suspicion of drug driving and child protection offences.
Merseyside Police say the van driver stopped at the scene and is helping with their investigation.
