Two men and a woman have died following a crash in Knotty Ash

Two men and a woman have died after they were involved in a crash on the A57 East Prescot Road in Knotty Ash.

Emergency services were called to the scene near the Greyhound pub at around 12.15am today (Monday 26 April).

A BMW had collided with the roundabout.

A man in his 20s, a woman in her 20s, and a man in his 30s, were all taken to hospital by ambulance and all have sadly passed away.

Merseyside Police say families have been informed and an investigation continues at the scene, including CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries.

A road closure is in place between the junction of Eaton Road and East Prescot Road to Blackmoor Drive. The roundabout is closed in all directions.

Diversions are in place and officers are asking motorists to avoid the area.
