Thornton Manor release update following fire
The venue has been 'overwhelmed' with messages of support
Bosses at a wedding venue on the Wirral say they've been overwhelmed with messages of support, after a huge fire over the weekend.
Crews were called to Thornton Manor on Manor Road just after 9pm on Saturday.
A fire involving a boiler was put out before they got there, but when Firefighters inspected the building, they found the fire spread had spread into the roof.
It's understood there was a wedding on at the time, and everyone was again evacuated from the hotel.
Thornton Manor have since released this statement on Instagram:
