Police want to speak to two men suspected of stealing a milkfloat which collided with a 13 year old boy

Shortly after 8.10am on Monday 19th June it was reported a milk float had been in collision with the teenager on Burleigh Mews.

He was taken to hospital for treatment on a minor head injury

Officers are now trying to find two males who were reported to be on the milkfloat and fled on foot after the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing at the scene, house to house enquiries are being carried out and CCTV opportunities are being explored.

Detective Inspector Martha Allbutt said: "We would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision, or anyone who saw two men stealing the milk float and driving it erratically yesterday morning to contact police. We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the men run away from the scene of the incident.

"A 13-year-old boy has been injured in this collision and remains in hospital so it is vital we find out exactly what happened and bring the offenders to justice.
