Murder arrest following the death of a teenager who fell from a building in Liverpool
The 18 year old woman died on Union Street on Monday night
A man has been arrested following the death of an 18 year old woman, who fell from a building in Liverpool City Centre.
She was pronounced dead at the scene at Irwell Chambers on Union Street, after emergency crews were called there at 10:40pm on Monday (1st June).
Her next of kin are in the process of being informed and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A 21-year-old man, who is known to the victim, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in, but detectives say they're keeping an open mind.
Detective Inspector Craig Turner said: “We are in the very early stages of an investigation, and would appeal to anyone who has any information at all to come forward.
“Door-to-door and CCTV enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with any information to please come forward. If you saw or heard any suspicious behaviour in Irwell Chambers or Union Street last night please get in touch.”
