Merseyside's Chocolate Orange Man to deliver to Liverpool Women's Hospital for first time
Chris Lamb will deliver chocolate to EVERY NHS staff member at Aldey Hey, Liverpool Women's, Whiston, and Broad Green Hospitals
It's the day thousands of NHS are looking forward to when Merseyside's own Chocolate Orange Man swings into action.
Chris Lamb's delivered more than 120 thousand chocolate oranges to hospitals across the North West since losing his four-year-old son Elliott in 2010.
This year is his busiest one yet with over 12,000 to give out to staff across the region, including the Women's Hospital for the first time.
Chris says it feels extra special after the recent terror attack :
"They are incredibly brave every day and the risks they've faced over the last two years as well; it's an amazing thing that they do.
"The Women's Hospital have been donating chocolate oranges every year but they've always politely declined my requests to take them some so it was only right, given what happened a few weeks ago, that we take them some.
We're able to give them to every member of staff which we've never been able to do at any hospital before.
"All those people go there to make a difference and make lives better and then something like that happens and it's so hard to comprehend but we're able to go there and make a small difference".
