Man still recovering after shooting in Toxteth

Police investigating an shooting in Liverpool one week ago are today are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage in their cards to get in touch

At around 10.35pm on Friday 21st December a member of the public found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot injury to his head on Adele Thompson Drive in Toxteth.

He was taken to hospital where his remains in a stable condition.

Crime scene investigators have carried out forensic examinations at the scene and line searches, house-to-house and CCTV enquiries have been carried out.

A dark blue Volvo S60, registration YK53 JEO, was found on fire at the back of The Queens Arms pub on Admiral Street, just after midnight.

"The vehicle is being examined and detectives say they're keeping an open mind as to whether it is linked to the shooting

Detective Inspector Nick Suffield said: "I would continue to appeal for anyone who hasn’t already contacted us to get in touch as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the Volvo S60 in the Toxteth area that night, saw anything suspicious in the area around Adele Thompson Drive or captured something significant on their vehicle’s dash-cam footage."
