Man pleaded guilty to hit & run killing Violet-Grace Youens

A man has pleaded guilty to causing the death of four year old Violet-Grace Youens by dangerous driving

The little girl died after she was hit by a stolen car in Prescot Road as she was crossing the road with her Grandmother

Today, 23 year old Aidan McAteer from Prescot admitted to causing her death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury to her grandmother

Violet-Grace's parents, Rebecca and Glenn were in court today for the hearing, there were tears throughout the public gallery

McAteer who appeared in court via videolink from HMP Liverpool had his head bowed throughout the hearing and only spoke to confirm his name and enter his pleas

27 year old Dean Brennan pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking and assisting an offender

Both men are due to be sentenced on the 19th May
