Man on roof closes main road into Liverpool
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area
Merseyside Police have closed part of Scotland Road this morning, after being called to a report of a man on a roof.
The road is closed as you head into Liverpool, and the exit from the Kingsway Tunnel towards Bootle is also shut.
In a statement Merseyside Police said:
'We can confirm that officers are currently on Scotland Road following reports of a male on the roof of an apartment building.
'Officers attended at the Picturehouse at 6.10am today, Monday 11th July.
'Road closures are currently in place in the surrounding area while the matter is being dealt with.
'Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.'
