Man arrested following escape of Shaun Walmsley from prison custody released on bail

A 25-year-old man from Norris Green, who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice by detectives investigating the escape of Shaun Walmsley, has been released on bail.

Merseyside Police, who are working with forces across the UK and abroad to locate Walmsley, are continuing to appeal to members of the public who may have any information which could help them.

A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both of which are also from Norris Green, were arrested yesterday for assisting an offender. They have since been released on bail.

Officers have warned the public not to approach Walmsley if they see him, as he could be armed and dangerous.
