Tranmere man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in the Wirral

He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries

A 29-year-old man from Tranmere has been arrested on suspicion of an attempted murder in Moreton last Wednesday, August 10th.

At 11.15pm, it was reported shots had been fired in the direction of a house on Moreton's Danger Lane.

Around four offenders on two motorbikes were then spotted leaving the area.

There were no reports of anyone being injured.

Following enquiries, a 29-year-old man from Tranmere was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector John Mullen said:

“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident continue.

“We’re out talking to the community and gathering information so that the people responsible for this can be brought to justice, and remove from the streets weapons and those who would use them.

“If you happened to be driving in the area last Wednesday and have dashcam footage of anything suspicious, or any bikes riding in the area, please check and let us know if there is anything that may assist our enquiries, including CCTV or doorbell footage.”
