As we all look forward to Summer - Health Experts in Liverpool are warning us to forget going abroad this year and holiday where we live.

Vacations are still banned under current restrictions but some UK holiday parks say they're planning to reopen by the Spring.

With no date set for when travel for leisure reasons will be allowed again.

Former North West Director of Public Health John Ashton says nobody should be thinking of jetting off anywhere exotic just yet :

"Explore the British Isles near to home. Liverpool is a great place and there's lots to see; lots of cultural stuff. These are the sort of things people should be thinking about for their Summer holidays"

"I don't think it will be until the Autumn or next year (for holidays abroad) it's back to the kind of holidays before we had mass travel when you would go the Isle of Man or Blackpool or maybe Grange Over Sands and stay in a bed and breakfast."
