A Liverpool woman who killed her boyfriend in a 'vicious and calculated' attack has been jailed for life.

Natalie Bennett, 47, of Carr Lane East, will spend at least 18 years behind bars after stabbing Kasey Anderson, 24, from Croxteth, in the heart on Saturday 12 March.

Kasey was rushed to hospital with chest and leg injuries and passed away on Friday 31 March.

Bennett used a knife to stab him after a domestic incident.

She admitted killing her boyfriend but denied murder - however, after a week-long trial, it took less than five hours for a jury to find her guilty.

Detective Inspector Ben Wayment said:

"This was a vicious and calculated attack by Bennett that sadly resulted in the death of a young man.

"Our thoughts remain with Kasey’s family at this time and we hope this conviction brings them some comfort."
