Liverpool Mayor reveals talks underway to bring the giants to the city permanently
Mayor Anderson tells Radio City News we could see a giant in a museum soon
Radio City News can reveal that talks are well underway to bring the giants back to Liverpool but possibly on a permament basis!
Around 1.3 million people enjoyed the spectacle a fortnight ago, billed as the final time they'd be in the city with the performing company Royal de Lux set to retire the puppets and move on to other projects.
That's led to calls to bring Xolo the Dog, the little girl and the little boy to one of the city's museums. Mayor Joe Anderson told us that's not out of the question :
"It's a possibility; it's a conversation we've been having. Jean-Luc is very responsive to that. There's a few things to sort out but we are looking to do that."
"It would be great because it would mean when kids remember and reflect back and tell their children and grandchildren about it and they can show them one of them or maybe more than one of them and say this is what walked down the street. So watch this space."
