Some of the families who lost loved ones at Hillsborough are demanding to know why they haven't been consulted about a new independent review.

The home office released a statement announcing it yesterday, saying the review will consider 'what went wrong with the original pathological report and ensure similar mistakes aren't made in the future', and that it actually began back in July.

97 Liverpool fans were unlawfully killed as a result of the crush at the FA Cup Semi Final in 1989.

Charlotte Hennessey lost her dad Jimmy in the disaster.

In an interview with us she said:

"How dare they look at our loved ones pathology reports without our permission? How dare they make sure that we're not ok with that? Where is the consideration for these bereaved family members? It's just so disrespectful.

"This just reinforces why we are calling for a Hillsborough Law. One of the pointers of that is that there should be proper participation of bereaved family members in all inquests, investigations (and) inquiries. Also that bereaved family members should have a public advocate."

Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham has also commented:
