HGV driver dies in M62 crash
It happened in the early hours of this morning
An HGV driver has died, after a crash involving two lorries on the M62 at the Croft interchange, Warrington.
Police say they were called to junction 10 at 4.37am this morning (Tuesday 31 January).
Officers have confirmed that one of the vehicles was on fire, and one of the drivers died at the scene.
The second driver is believed to be uninjured and is helping police with enquiries.
The carriageway remains closed and people are being advised to avoid the area as the closure is also impacting nearby roads.
