A cyclist's in hospital with serious injuries, after a crash involving a van in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police say that at around 2.50pm yesterday (Sunday 6 February) emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving a van and a cyclist on the junction of Queens Drive and Utting Avenue, Walton.

The man on the bicycle has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and is in a stable condition.

The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
