A young boy battling cancer has thanked Everton fans for their support - days after it was revealed he has a new tumour

5 year old Bradley Lowrey - who suffers from neuroblastoma lead his beloved Sunderland out at Goodison Park ahead of their game against the Blues yesterday

He was brought out onto the pitch by his favourite player - Jermaine Defoe, and on the back of his shirt read the words "Thank You Everton"

Last September, the club donated £200'000 to help pay for treatment, but on Wednesday, Bradley's family received the devastating news that scams had shown another tumour which had developed on his back

Bradley's mother Gemma, said: "Bradley scans show that there has been a small reduction in some parts, however there is a new tumour on the bottom of his back.

"As you can imagine we are devastated and heart-broken with this news as I really wanted the new treatment to work.

"We are not sure where we go from here as it will depend on his bone marrow biopsy results. He is getting this done tomorrow, but results won't be back for another week."

Bradley was also a mascot at Goodison last month, ahead of the win against Manchester City
