Boy, 13, fighting for life after being hit by car in Liverpool

A 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital, after he was hit by a car in Liverpool.
It happened on the East Lancs Road in Croxteth yesterday evening (Wednesday 7 December) just before 7.30pm.
The road was closed in both directions between Stonebridge Lane and Lower Lane, as officers investigated the collision, which happened near to the Stonedale Retail Park.
A silver Vauxhall Astra estate hit the teenager near to the Showcase cinema. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation.
Emergency services say the boy, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
