Bon Jovi to play at Anfield next June

Bon Jovi have announced a date at Anfield as part of their first UK tour in six years.

They'll play at the stadium on Wednesday June 19th 2019, in their first concert in the city for 33 years.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am

On June 21 the rockers return to Wembley Stadium, 19 years after they were the last band to play the old Wembley and 13 years since they almost became the first to play the new stadium - until overrunning building works got in the way.

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi said: "Those huge shows, tens of thousands of people all together as one, that's what we do."

"“Throw in Anfield as a new venue - OK that’s just us showing off! We’re honoured to play there and the first thing I'm doing is getting that iconic picture under the 'This Is Anfield’ sign."
