Benitez at Everton : Time to ditch his flags at Anfield
Liverpool fans say the move won't affect his legacy
Liverpool fans say the appointment of Rafa Benitez as Everton manager Won't affect his Anfield legacy, but it's probably time to ditch his flags from the Kop.
Yesterday, the Spaniard became only the second man in history to manage BOTH Merseyside clubs.
Gareth Roberts from the Anfield Wrap says seeing Benitez at Goodison will take a bit of getting used to :
"I don't think it'll spoil his legacy at the club for me but I understand why there's anger perhaps on both sides.
"Some people are talking about taking his flags down at Anfield and not singing his name anymore.
"I even know someone who's named their son after Rafa, I don't think he's too happy about him rocking up at Everton"
"Rafa will always be the man that won us our fifth European Cup, I was in Istanbul and I will always love Rafa for what he did for us, for lifting the FA Cup and for lifting the name of Liverpool back to the top of the tree in Europe".
