Teenager stabbed in Allerton
A 17 year old boy's in hospital following an assault last night in Allerton.
A teenager is in hospital after being stabbed in Allerton.
Police were called to Mather Avenue just before 9.30 last night.
A 17 year old boy's currently being treated for non life threatening injuries.
A police spokesperson said:
"Officers were called to Mather Avenue at 9.25pm tonight, Tuesday 16 August, following reports that the teenager had suffered wounds to his body consistent with a knife being used. "The teenager has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
"A search of the surrounding area is ongoing and CCTV opportunities are being explored.
"An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been launched.
"Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Merseyside Police "
