Teen arrested after Bootle 'gun sighting'
A teenager's been arrested after reports of a person carrying a gun in Bootle
A 16-year-old male from Anfield has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm or imitation firearm in a public place. Officers were called to a property in Bedford Road, Bootle, on Sunday evening after reports of a male with a firearm having been seen entering the property. A number of people were asked to leave the property while a search was carried out and Bedford Road was also cordoned off while it took place. The search has now been completed. Nobody else was discovered in the property and no weapon was recovered.
The teenager will be questioned today.
