Police appeal for information after fatal car crash in Billinge
Road closures in place after accident this lunchtime
Merseyside Police is appealing for information after a fatal RTC in the Billinge area this afternoon, Tuesday 3 May. At around 12:25pm, a report was received of a collision between a Peugeot 406 and a woman pedestrian at the junction of Birchley Road and Martindale Road. Police and ambulance officers attended and the woman's injuries subsequently proved fatal. The identity of the woman is to be confirmed. Road closures are currently in place on Carr Mill Road at the junction of Moss Bank Road and Trent Road, off Carr Mill Road towards Billinge. Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have seen any part of the incident to contact Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit on 0151 777 5747.
