Farhad Moshiri has vowed to spend and keep Everton's big stars -

This week the Premier League announced they had approved the Iranian Businessman's plans to buy a 49.9% stake in the club.

Writing in the programme notes for tomorrow's FA Cup quater final with Chelsea, Moshiri said:

"I have commited to providing additional funds for investment and keeping our big players"

"We will also be looking at our best options in relation to our stadium. Goodison Park has served us extremley well, but we need to make sure the club has a suitable platform for the future"

Speaking ahead of Everton's FA Cup tie with Chelsea, Everton boss Roberto Marintez said:

“We're looking forward to the chemistry he had with the fans and welcome a new Evertonian into the family. It's a really exciting moment.

“We're just looking at the steps, the first being to get the deal approved, the next is Mr Moshiri I'm sure will fall in love with Goodison Park and our fans, and then we'll look at a working relationship.”

Martinez added: “It has given everyone a pep. Behind the scenes there are projects that have been waiting for a push, and all of a sudden we have a bright start in that respect.

“The chairman has been always pushing to get things moving and taking Everton to the next level, and this is the start of a new beginning.

“This gives every member of Everton to be part of the future.”
