Man charged after stabbing at Liverpool shopping park
A 38-year-old man has been charged after a man was stabbed in the chest at Hunts Cross Shopping Park.
Lenford Whyte, of Goswell Street, Wavertree has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage.
He is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court tomorrow morning. A 26-year-old woman from Wavertree, arrested yesterday on suspicion of assisting an offender in relation to this incident, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Officers were called just after 5.35pm to reports that a man had been stabbed to the chest by another man following an altercation at Hunts Cross Shopping Park’s car park. The victim, a 36-year-old man, who sustained a stab wound to his chest, was taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable and not believed to be life-threatening.
