Tony Bellew confirms exclusively to Radio City his shot at the World Crusierweight title is being held at Goodison

Tony Bellew has exclusively confirmed to Radio City Sport that his World Title Fight will be taking place at Goodison.

The Bomber is due to fight Illunga Makubu for the WBC World Cruiserweight Title on the 29th May.

Representatives from the club and the Bomber have held talks over the past few weeks.

The news is a realisation of a dream for Bellew who as a massive Blue, has always wanted to fight at his beloved Goodison

Speaking to Steve Hothersall on Radio City Talk's Kick Off - Tony said:

"It was on the verge of falling through, but we sat down in a room, and we looked at possible dates"

"I said, I knew it was a gamble but trust me - Liverpool comes alive on a Bank Holiday"

"This isn't just about me, this is about Scouse Boxing. When you see the bill we have, it's scouse boxing v the world. It's an event for Scousers, Everton & Liverpool fans"
