Liverpool FC today released a stunning time-lapse film, showcasing the latest steps in the Main Stand's transformation.
In the lead up to its opening, the short clip reveals the scale of work completed inside Anfield on what will become one of the largest all-seater single stands in Europe - just weeks after the conclusion of the season.
Work to install the Main Stand's new middle tier is now complete. The redeveloped stand is set to comprise three tiers, with the middle level seating more than 3,000 fans on a matchday.
Further progress at Anfield has also seen the flooring and fan kiosks installed inside the new concourses. These will be the biggest at Anfield, providing a space for fans to enjoy modern facilities before the game.
Meanwhile, decoration and tiling work is continuing throughout the building and lighting has been installed. The central podium steps, accessible lifts and escalators that will provide fan access into the stand have also been fitted.
The important task of creating the Main Stand's new public realm is underway, too. The ground is currently being prepared for the arrival of trees and landscaping work which has been specially designed to reconnect the stadium to nearby Stanley Park and the local community.
