Aguero stops game to help Everton fan
Football fans around the country have praised Sergio Aguero after he went to the aid of an Everton fan during Manchester City’s win at Goodison Park yesterday.
The striker stopped the game to tell the referee a Blues fan needed medical attention in the first minute of the match.
The supporter received treatment in the stand before being stretchered away after suffering an epileptic fit. He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Aguero reacted on social media saying: “I just did what anyone would have done”.
Everton tweeted: “We’re told the supporter who was taken ill in the first minute of today’s game, which you may have seen on TV coverage, was treated at the stadium after having an epileptic fit before going to hospital as a precaution.
“We send our best wishes for a speedy recovery.”
