A 9 year old boy has died after a crash in Ellesmere Port.

A 9 year old boy has died after a crash in Ellesmere Port. Police were called to reports of a one vehicle collision on the A5117 Elton, near to Hapsford Services area around 4.00pm on Sunday 31st July Officers attended the scene and found that a dark blue Ford Focus had overturned on the carriageway.

Police say the 9 year-old boy from Manchester was a front seat passanger and was pronounced dead at the scene

Paramedics attended the scene, and the driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old was taken to Aintree Hospital.

A 15-year-old boy who was a rear seat passenger was taken to Alder Hey Hospital.
