The Jungle Book trailer premieres and it's all kinds of amazing!
Watch it in all its glory here
The first trailer for the live-action remake of The Jungle Book has premiered and it doesn’t disappoint!
A remake of the 1967 animated classic of the same name, Disney’s trailer shows young orphan boy Mowgli (played by Neel Sethi) disappear into the jungle where he makes animal friends and is also met with fraught dangers.
Featuring mind-blowingly amazing CGI, the most chilling part of the teaser is undoubtedly when Mowgli comes face-to-face with Kaa the python voiced by Scarlett Johansson.
Directed by Jon Favreau (Elf, Iron Man), The Jungle Book also features the voices of Bill Murray as Baloo the bear, Sir Ben Kingsley as Bagheera the leopard, Idris Elba as Shere Khan the tiger, Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha the mother wolf and Christopher Walken as King Louie the orang-utan.
87-year-old Richard M Sherman, who wrote songs for the original Jungle Book alongside his late brother Robert, is penning new songs for the film.
According to Jon Favreau, ‘The Bare Necessities’ will be revived for the remake with Bill Murray singing the vocals.
The Jungle Book is set for release in April 2016.
