Immensely popular ‘90s TV show The Crystal Maze is making a comeback!
20 years after the last episode of the adventure gameshow aired, it’s been announced on The Crystal Maze website and Instagram page that a new "live immersive experience" is coming to London.
The Crystal Maze website is calling for people to register their interest to take part in the London event and their Twitter account proudly proclaims: “The legendary game show is back! But this time we all get to play!”
So far three tantalising teasers have been shared on Instagram of the Maze layout, the jackets contestants will wear and an artists impression of the new Crystal Maze in action.
Screened on Channel 4 from 1990 to 1995, at its peak The Crystal Maze was one of the most popular shows on Channel 4 regularly attracting between 4 and 6 million listeners.
Former Rocky Horror show star Richard O’Brien helmed the first four series before Ed Tudor-Pole took over the reins for the final two.
The show featured four different zones set in various periods of time and space and culminated with a desperate grab for golden tickets in The Crystal Maze.
