Dad criticised for refusing to change nappies because it's 'gay'
His wife asked for help on social media
A dad has been criticised on Reddit for refusing to change his baby son’s nappies because he argued it’s 'gay’ to be touching his child’s private parts.
It’s after his pregnant 21-year-old wife, going by the name of throwaway_192i932, posted her worries on the site and asked for advice from other parents.
She revealed that she and her 28-year-old husband have been together for five years and he’s the ‘best person’ she’s met.
Her message read: ‘I've been married to my husband for three years, but we've been dating for two years before that. He's honestly the best person I've met. I'm pregnant and we've having a baby boy.
'When the baby comes my husband refuses to change his diapers because he thinks it's 'gay' and stormed off. He's still out right now, but I know he'll come back.
'I need help to figure out how to frame my argument about how parenthood should be a partnership.’
One person commented: ‘I think this guy needs to take a parenting class for new parents. I did - there was one guy in there who refused to change diapers. It's not as bad as you think.’

Another pointed out that if the couple had a girl he would still have to come into contact with the baby’s private areas.
One father suggested she should discuss it again with her husband adding ‘If he wants to be involved in parenting decisions then he has to do everything - this is not pick and mix.
’Not being prepared to do something because he thinks it's 'gay' will set a terrible example to his children’.
In an updated version of the 21-year-old's message she revealed that some people suggested she left her husband or even aborted the baby.
She admitted that she’s going to discuss the issue with her partner and will be willing to compromise on it if he’s willing to take up other responsibilities.
